The role
- Design, build, and maintain highly scalable microservices powering core payment flows.
- Collaborate with product, design and data teams to ship features end-to-end.
- Mentor mid-level engineers and contribute to architectural decisions across the platform.
- Champion engineering excellence: testing, observability, performance and security.
What you'll bring
- 5+ years building production systems in TypeScript / Node.js or Go.
- Strong experience with AWS or GCP, Kubernetes, and event-driven architectures.
- Deep understanding of databases (PostgreSQL) and distributed systems trade-offs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable in a hybrid London team.
