Requirements for sponsorship

  • Care experience (paid or supervised placement) — typically 6–12 months.
  • English at CEFR B1: IELTS 4.0 in each component, or an accepted equivalent.
  • Enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references covering the last 3 years.
  • A Certificate of Sponsorship from a licensed Health and Care sponsor.
  • Care Certificate (or willingness to complete it during induction).

How the application works

  1. Submit your CV. Send a UK-format CV listing care duties, shift patterns and any NVQ/Care Certificate units.
  2. Screening call. A Gobblex consultant checks your eligibility against the going rate for SOC 6135.
  3. Employer interview. Usually a 30-minute video interview covering safeguarding, dignity and manual handling.
  4. Certificate of Sponsorship. The employer assigns your CoS through the Sponsor Management System.
  5. Visa and relocation. Apply for the Health and Care Worker visa, attend biometrics and plan arrival.
